C5 Lesson 2: Quality Indicators for AT Consideration

In this lesson you will explore the Quality Indicators for Assistive Technology (QIAT) – the topic of AT Consideration. As you’ve read, these indicators are research-based, and to know them is to know what is best practice for AT service delivery in the schools. You will be reviewing the QIAT website and supporting documents and determining how well you or your school/district currently provides AT Consideration services to students.

Lesson 2 Assignment

In this lesson, you will complete two activities that will give you a good understanding of AT Consideration.

  • In Activity 1,
    • you are asked to go to qiat.org and familiarize yourself with the website.
    • then we’re providing two documents from the QIAT site for you to read in preparation for Activity 2.
  • In Activity 2,
    • you will complete a short pre self-appraisal ranking yourself or your school/district in the AT Consideration services you provide.
